Heat Above è il terzo anticipo di The Battle at Garden’s Gate, secondo album in studio dei Greta Van Fleet, atteso il 16 aprile 2021 per Lava/Republic Records, a due anni e mezzo dal disco d’esordio Anthem of the Peaceful Army, che raggiunse la top ten anche in Italia.
Anticipato da “My Way, Soon” (ottobre 2020), “Age of Machine” (dicembre 2020), “Heat Above” (uscito il 10 febbraio 2021) e “Broken Bells”, pubblicato il 9 marzo, il progetto è stato registrato insieme a Greg Kurstin e racchiuderà altri otto inediti.
Scritta dai quattro componenti del gruppo rock statunitense vincitore di un GRAMMY Award nel 2019, la bella “Heat Above” (il testo e la traduzione) è una traccia eterea che si apre con il suono di un Hammond B3, un organo elettrico penetrante, che costituisce la base per un contesto sonoro trionfante. Il semplice video è stato diretto da Matthew Daniel Siskin.
Il bassista e tastierista Sam Kiszka, si è così pronunciato sulla canzone: “C’è ancora molto amore in questo mondo, anche se potrebbe non sembrare. Ed è di questo che parla “Heat Above”, salire sulle stelle insieme. “
