Booty è il nuovo singolo di Jennifer Lopez con la collaborazione del rapper Pitbull. Si tratta del terzo singolo estratto da A.K.A., ottavo studio album pubblicato a metà dello scorso giugno.
Dopo “I Luh Ya Papi” e “First Love”, arriva il terzo tassello della nuova era discografica di J.Lo, che spera di ottenere maggior successo rispetto ai precedenti singoli.
La cantante newyorkese torna a collaborare con Pitbull, dopo il flop del recentissimo inno relativo ai mondiali di calcio “We are One (Ole Ola)”. Insieme a Mariah Carey, la Lopez non sta di certo attraversando un buon periodo: il nuovo disco, nonostante la buona qualità, ha faticato non poco nella charts, vendendo molte meno copie rispetto al previsto, e la stessa cosa si può dire per i precedenti singoli.
Adesso ci riprova con questa uptempo pop-urban inizialmente battezzata Big Booty, prodotta insieme a Benny Medina e Cory Rooney che l’ha anche scritto insieme a Chris Brown, Asia Bryant, Pitbull, Diplo, Lewis D. Gittus, Tedra Renee Wilson e Danny Omerhodic.
Il brano è dedicato al lato b della Lopez che nonostante gli anni passino anche per lei, è ancora di tutto rispetto.
