Freaks è il nuovo singolo di Timmy Trumpet & Savage, che sarà trasmesso dalle emittenti radiofoniche italiane a partire dal prossimo venerdì 28 novembre 2014.
Tim Smith in arte Timmy Trumpet è un musicista, disc jockey e produttore di Sydney, che arriva dal conservatorio e dal jazz, mentre Savage al secolo Demetrius Savelio, è un rapper neozelandese.
Il brano battezzato Freaks che tradotto significa mostri, nasce dalla collaborazione di questi 2 artisti, o meglio, inizialmente era una traccia strumentale del solo Timmy, ora impreziosita dal rap di Savage, che a mio parere ha migliorato non poco questo pezzo.
Questa canzone tutta da ballare, ha esordito al nono posto nella Billboard Emerging Artists ed in trentaseiesima piazza nella Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, ma c’è da aggiungere che ni Nuova Zelanda ed Australia è stata certificata Disco Di Platino per ben 3 volte dalla ARIA, acronimo di Australian Recording Industry Association, associazione che rappresenta le case discografiche in Australia.
Inoltre questo pezzo viene suonato da artisti del calibro di Vinai, Sander Van Doorn, Steve Smooth, Mike Candys, Borgore, Laidback Luke, Joachim Garraud ed altri.
Il brano ha indiscusse potenzialità, e potrebbe andare forte anche in Europa. Se non ci credete ascoltatelo pure! Il video ufficiale spacca non poco: lui, il papà, suona il riff di “Freaks” con il trombone, mentre il figlio, lo accompagna sbattendo l’anta del forno di casa.
