Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds tornano con We’re On Our Way Now, gradevole singolo inedito rilasciato il 29 aprile 2021 al fine di promuovere Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021), album che celebra i 10 anni di carriera di Noel e il suo gruppo. Il testo, la traduzione in italiano.
L’11 giugno esce su etichetta Sour Mash Records questa raccolta, contenente le migliori hit più due canzoni inedite prodotte da Noel Gallagher e Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey. Il disco è disponibile anche in edizione limitata, con un bonus disc che include alcune versioni acustiche mai pubblicate prima, versioni strumentali, demo e remix. Ecco tutte le versioni del best of che verranno commercializzate: 2 CD nei seguenti formati: 2 CD Standard; 3 CD Deluxe; Doppio LP 180g; Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set e Doppio LP colorato in edizione limitata e numerata con art print esclusiva. Nonostante nel titolo sia indicato “Volume 1″, stando alle parole dell’artista, non è affatto detto che vi sarà una seconda parte della raccolta: ” L’idea del titolo mi è venuta un pomeriggio mentre ero seduto a tavola. E’ un modo di dire: “back the way we came”. Ho pensato fosse un titolo bellissimo, ed è il motivo per cui ho aggiunto ‘vol.1’, perché se nel caso ce ne fosse un altro in futuro, userò lo stesso titolo!” ha dichiarato Noel.
La nuova canzone è a parer mio veramente molto bella e attraverso essa il cantautore si rivolge a una persona molto importante che non c’è più. Non è chiaro, almeno per il momento, a chi sia rivolto questo pezzo, ma sicuramente si tratta di una donna.
