Il video ufficiale girato da Mike Ho è stato rilasciato ufficialmente oggi, 23 ottobre 2014, e la trama è diversa da quello rilasciato in precedenza, che sembrerebbe essere stato un video promozionale. Right Now è il nuovo singolo della cantautrice newyorkese Mary J. Blige, che anticipa l’uscita del tredicesimo studio album The London Sessions, che salvo posticipi, sarà pubblicato nel novembre 2014 per Capitol Records.
Si tratta di un disco inciso a Londra nel bel mezzo dell’estate, alle cui lavorazioni hanno preso parte anche i Disclosure, Sam Smith, Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy e Jimmy Napes.
Dal 6 settembre scorso, è possibile ascoltare l’audio ufficiale di questa nuova canzone, realizzata insieme al duo di musica elettronica Disclosure che l’ha anche prodotta. Il testo che potete leggere a fine articolo, è invece stato scritto con la collaborazione di Jimmy Napes, ma alla scrittura hanno partecipato anche Sam Smith e gli stessi Disclosure.
Il brano Right Now è un mix dello stile alternative vicino agli anni ’90 che si sta diffondendo negli UK, all’rnb che ha reso famosa la bravissima Mary. Non è un pezzo da favola, ma nemmeno deludente. Giudicate voi ascoltandolo di seguito.
