Believe è il singolo portante della colonna sonora del film d’animazione Disney, The Descendants, interpretato dal giovane canadese Shawn Mendes. Ricordiamo che il Disney Channel Original Movie, è stato distribuito in Italia il 3 ottobre 2015 da Walt Disney Pictures. La soundtrack originale è disponibile dal 31 luglio scorso nel formato digitale e dal 25 settembre nella versione CD. Tra le quattordici tracce racchiuse suo interno, oltre a Believe, non posso esimermi dal citare il brano di Carola Campagna, Se Solo.
Chiusa la brevissima parentesi film ed album relativo alla colonna sonora, spendiamo qualche parola in più per il bel pezzo di Mendes intitolato Believe, un brano che sprizza di positività da tutti i lati, scritto da Geoffrey Warburton, Glen Scott, Martin Terefe e lo stesso Shawn, che l’ha anche prodotto. La canzone, ha anche ricevuto una nomination al 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
Dal 26 giugno scorso, è disponibile il video ufficiale diretto da Jake Kasdan. Nel filmato vi sono le apparizioni delle cantanti e attrici statunitensi Dove Cameron e Sofia Carson.
