Gunshot è il nuovo singolo della cantautrice svedese Lykke Li, estratto dal terzo studio album I Never Learn, pubblicato il 6 maggio 2014 via LL ed Atlantic Records. Il disco ha ottenuto ottimi risultati in Svezia ed in altri paesi europei, trainato anche dal primo singolo No Rest for the Wicked, sebbene il grande successo ottenuto con il famoso I Follow Rivers, resta ancora un miraggio.
Ora l’interprete decide di rilanciare la nuova era discografica con questo singolo, scritto da lei con la collaborazione di Björn Yttling e Rick Nowels. Anche la produzione è opera della cantante che per l’occasione, si è fatta aiutare da Greg Kurstin.
Da qualche giorno è possibile vedere il video ufficiale che accompagna Gunshot, la quinta traccia del nuovo lavoro. Un filmato apocalittico quello diretto da Fleur&Manu, che mostra l’artista con il viso dipinto, in un parcheggio distrutto e quasi deserto, in preda a continue convulsioni, in mezzo a ragazze che twerkano stile Miley Cyrus. Le immagini mostrano anche esibizionisti in moto, amanti che litigano, ragazzini che che vanno sullo skateboard, televisioni, culturisti principianti, gabbie e libri non scritti.
C’è da aggiungere che questa canzone, è stata utilizzata anche per il nuovo spot pubblicitario della Peugeot, che vede protagonista Lykke Li stessa.
