Vi presentiamo Implode, nuovo ed atteso brano degli Slayer, gruppo thrash metal statunitense che l’ha presentato per la prima volta in occasione dei Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show a Los Angeles, durante un breve concerto di tre pezzi per aprire la serata.
Dopo la performance, la band ha caricato su Youtube la versione registrata in studio. Implode è la prima canzone registrata senza Jeff Hanneman e Dave Lombardo, avvicendati da Gary Holt alla chitarra e Paul Bostaph alla batteria. Tuttavia Hanneman, scomparso il 2 maggio 2013 a causa di un’insufficienza epatica, oltre ad esser stato il chitarrista, era anche uno dei principali compositori della band, e quindi i dubbi sul futuro nuovo disco degli Slayer sono parecchi… Ascoltiamo l’inedito di cui si può effettuare il download gratuito cliccando sull’apposito link.
Implode è un pezzo aggressivo e martellante prodotto da Terry Date, che tuttavia a confronto delle precedenti canzoni, sembra quasi una ninna nanna.
Il brano dovrebbe anticipare l’uscita di un nuovo nonché undicesimo studio album ancora senza titolo Repentless, che farà seguito a World Painted Blood del 2009. L’opera dovrebbe essere pubblicata nei primi mesi del 2015.
