Dopo Zayn Malik, anche Niall Horan volta pagina e si avventura nella carriera da solista e quindi lontano dai One Direction. Il cantante irlandese classe 1993 ha infatti firmato un contratto con la Capitol Records, e la malinconica ma bella This Town, è il singolo d’esordio lontano dall’amato gruppo delle meraviglie, pubblicato il 29 settembre 2016.
Questa canzone è stata scritta dall’interprete, con la collaborazione di Jamie Scott, Mike Needle e Daniel Bryer; Greg Kurstin ha invece curato la produzione dell’inedito, che in Scozia ha esordito al 18esimo posto, mentre in UK in centesima piazza, ma è ancora presto per parlare dei risultati ottenuti dal punto di vista commerciale.
Nel brano, Niall si rivolge alla ragazza di cui è ancora innamorato, ma con la quale non sta più insieme. Lei ha preferito voltare pagina ed a peggiorare lo stato d’animo di Horan, è il fatto che adesso la tipa sta con un’altra persona.
